But I got fined for stating my opinion on what I thought should happen with another player, but teams can come out and continue to say, 'Oh, we're trading guys, we're not playing you; And yet we're to stay professional.

Harrison Barnes was traded mid-game in February 2019. Six minutes left in a close game between the Dallas Mavericks (his team at the time) and the Charlotte Hornets when the news that Barnes was being traded. Paul Pierce did come out and say that Barnes was aware that could be traded that night but asked to play anyway. Cleveland Cavaliers head coach JB Bickerstaff responded to Green’s comments, “Nobody’s opinion should be muted. Obviously there's conversations that we’ve had with our guys as far this process goes that everybody’s not privy too. But again, guys have the right to speak their voice and organizations have to do what’s best for the organization. I think thats kind of how it works and it shouldn’t be a two way street, so to speak.”
