Welcome The New fashion Gawdz Writer: Selena Suckoo!

My name is Selena Suckoo, I was born on December 12, 2001 in Spanish Town, Jamaica. I moved to America with my family at the age of 11. At first, it was a little hard to adjust to certain things the main thing that caught me off guard was the environment, being as young as I was and moving to a different country, I didn’t know what to expect. I went from seeing so much green to seeing little to none. I remember my very first Christmas in America, I received a pack of paint and some paintbrushes with five canvases. With that I began drawing different outfits out, playing around with the colors and I had the realization of my love for clothing, colors, and beauty.

That was my very first time being introduced to anything art-related. As I continued to get older and learn more about African American history and the usual American lifestyle, I grew to love certain parts of it. I became extremely interested in what the black Fashion world had to offer. My hobbies are obviously shopping, photography, and creating art that includes painting, drawing or coloring. I am currently enrolled at the great Livingstone College as a Sophomore in 2021-2022. My major is Business Administration and Management, with this degree I intend to later own my very own fashion brand. My dream job is to become a successful Fashion Stylist and later grow to own my very own fashion/clothing boutique.
