The return of McDonald's gospel tour

Despite the current restrictions COVID has placed upon us, McDonald's held their Inspirational Celebration Gospel Tour to close out the 15th year anniversary year.

On Sunday, Dec. 23 at 8 p.m. ET, the virtual tour was aired on BET Network's YouTube channel. The Walls Group, Brian Courtney Wilson, James Fortune, Stephanie Summers, Kurt Carr, and Yolanda Adams graced the tour this holiday season.

Speaking of performances, I had the opportunity to converse with Kurt Carr via a phone interview. We discussed how COVID has affected the industry when it comes to recording, studio time, events, meet and greets, etc. I also asked him how was the turnout with during a virtual holiday concert. Carr was very open and humble when speaking with me. He said the pandemic has changed things but he's glad there is a virtual option available.

This special holiday concert show performers came together to premiere "Christmas Spirit" a song written and produced by Sir the Baptist. The feel-good tune merges traditional gospel music with contemporary hip-hop sounds was written exclusively for this Holiday Experience presented by McDonalds.
