The Game Rips Into NFL Player Dak Prescott For Saying He Would Never Protest During The National Ant

West Coast rapper, The Game, recently threw out a racial slur against Dallas Cowboys’ quarterback, Dak Prescott, after the QB stated that he would never “disrespect the country” by protesting the national anthem.

The Game took to Instagram to release his statement. In the post he, accuses Prescott of being a supporter of Donald Trump and calls the Cowboy a “coon”.

After several days, Prescott has not yet responded, however, he recently told the The Star-Telegram that he is “not oblivious” to the attacks.

“You get on social media, you see it. It doesn’t bother me. I said what I said. You have an opinion. Everyone else has an opinion. They are entitled to it as well. I accepted what they said and respect it. They should respect mine. It’s bigger than I think some of us think. It’s just important for me to go out there, hand over my heart, represent our country and just be thankful and not take anything I’ve been given and my freedom for granted.”He also added, “When you bring such a controversy to the stadium, to the field, to the game, it takes away … from that. It takes away from the joy and the love that football brings a lot of people.”

Former NFL cornerback Antonio Cromartie joined in on the Game’s comments by saying, “This fool sound so stupid. Saying this because he doesn’t want to lose his endorsement deals”. Comedian D.L. Hughley and Oakland Raiders linebacker Tahir Whitehead have also been vocal and accused Prescott of turning to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones for money. It is worth noting, however, that Prescott and the Cowboys owner Jerry Jones did participate in the protest before Trump spoke against it.

Trump demanded that any players who knelt during the anthem be fired. The NFL began a rule that would’ve fined NFL players who didn’t stand. The rule stated that players had the option to stand, remain in the locker room if they prefer, or pay a $1 Million each; but after several players kneeled at 4 seperate games, they decided to put the rule on hold.

The initial protests were started in 2016 after 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick kneeled during the national anthem. The 2018 GQ Citizen of the Year is now a free agent and believes that he is being blackballed by the NFL, leading to a lawsuit being filed against the league for keeping him from being signed.
