Summer Walker Launches New Podcast Called “Over It Radio”
As Summer Walker transitions from the studio to the podcast mic, one thing is certain: her ability to connect with audiences remains as strong as ever. Whether you’re a longtime fan of her music or new to her journey, "Over it Radio" keeps it real with listeners.
My Vision for Over It Radio is to create a safe space where I can own my own narrative and Provide a platform for the women I admire in the entertainment industry to do the same,” Walker tells Apple Music. “Listeners can look forward to hearing powerful, accomplished women celebrating their successes, sharing their frustrations about what they’re ready to move on from and keeping it real about the challenges they face as women, mothers and entrepreneurs.”
The RnB artist announced the news about the launch on Dec. 9.
With the announcement of the Podcast the Walker popped out with an announcement video that showed three versions of herself from the album trilogy, Over It, Still Over It, and Finally Over It.
“I was over it when we were playing games, when girls needed love, and no, I don’t care that I told him to come through,” says the Over It version of Walker. “I told you he was an ex for a reason. But I needed closure,” says the Still Over it version of her. “Ladies! I’m finally over it. So let’s talk about it. This is ‘Over It Radio,'” proclaims the new Finally Over It Summer Walker.
The Podcast consists of six episodes that will debut before her third album, “Finally Over It”
So far the Podcast has already dropped three episodes with artists like Sexy Redd and Caresha “Yung Miami”. The newest episode brought Ciara to talk about their careers, prayers, love lives, and more.
“I just want to shout out the big sister, the big mentor that you are, you really are a girl’s girl if anyone ever had to wonder.”, Walker says as she talks about moments she broke down about her past love life.
"Over It Radio" will air weekly on Thursdays with a break for the holidays. “Over It Radio” will also be available on-demand for Apple Music subscribers on Apple Music and Apple Podcasts.
