NFL Trading Season: Here's What We Know..




As we all know trading in the NFL is always one of the most anticipated news waiting to be found out next to drafting and the Superbowl. Over the last month, there has been various trading going with almost every team. The trading happens every year a couple of months before the superbowl. The end results are usually not surprising for super fans as they take to twitter and talk about their predictions. Some have been right while others seemed to be off. Overall, it seems as though the majority is satisfied with the results this year. Throughout October and beginning of November the trading began and according to sportingnews.com, it went as follows.


On November 2nd “The Los Angeles Chargers sent defensive back Desmond King to the Tennessee Titans in a trade one day before the deadline. The Chargers will receive a sixth-round pick in return. The San Francisco 49ers traded linebacker Kwon Alexander to the New Orleans Saints, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The 49ers will acquire a conditional fifth-round pick and linebacker Kiko Alonso in return.The Dallas Cowboys acquired defensive tackle Eli Ankou from the Houston Texans for a 2022 seventh-round pick. Ankou is an attempt

at shoring up a historically bad Cowboys defense.”


On November 1st, “The New York Jets agreed to trade linebacker Avery Williamson to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Pittsburgh sends a 2022 fifth-round pick to the Jets, who send a 2022 seventh-round pick to the Steelers.”


On October 28th “The Cincinnati Bengals traded away defensive end Carlos Dunlap to the Seattle Seahawks for a seventh-round pick and offensive lineman B.J. Finney.”


On October 27th “The Detroit Lions traded a conditional sixth-round pick to the Dallas Cowboys to acquire defensive end Everson Griffen.”


On October 23rd ”The Giants traded linebacker Markus Golden to the Arizona Cardinals for a 2021 sixth-round pick”.


On October 22nd “The Minnesota Vikings trade defensive end Yannick Ngakoue to the Baltimore Ravens for a 2021 third-round pick and a conditional 2022 fifth-round pick.”


Trading season ended on November 2nd and now fans wait to see how this season will finish playing out with hopes that everyone’s favorite teams have made the right decisions. Since trading doesn't happen all in one day, some fans had watch party nights to bring some type of

excitement for this season, especially since covid-19 almost stopped the season from beginning and have had slight mishaps when some players contracted the virus.
