Laverne Cox is our next Barbie Gworl

Emmy winning actress and producer, Laverne Cox is honored with a new Barbie doll modeled after her. Cox is the first transgender woman of color to lead a scripted tv show. Many of us know her as Sophia from Orange is the new Black (how can we ever forget her character).

When asked about Mattel created a Barbie in her image, Cox said, “It's been a dream for years to work with Barbie to create my own

doll.” The Barbie doll has Laverne's blonde hair and is wearing a beautiful red dress with a see through bottom, almost resembling a dance recital outfit. If you decide that you no longer want to see the red dress, you can remove it and show off the Barbie doll's sparkly silver jumpsuit that it has underneath.
