Highlighting Black Excellence in beauty during the 2022 BET Awards Weekend

The BET Awards Weekend is one of the biggest weekends for the culture and the perfect opportunity to shed light on Black Excellence! For the 2022 BET Awards, Black Beauty Roster hosted an event at the EDITION (West Hollywood) to highlight beauty professionals and industry leaders who are a part of the BIPOC communities. Outside of having tasty food, step and repeat photo opportunities and the opportunity to dress up, attendees were able to hear from speakers like Sir John, Larry Sims, Vernon François, Ebonee Davis and then a special keynote from Lori Harvey, who founded SKIN by LH, a skincare brand. Stars like Candiace Dillard, MonicaStyle Muse, Lauren Speed-Hamilton, and Chelsea Lazkani were a few of the celebrities and influencers who made an appearance at the event.

Black Beauty Roster is all about bringing meaningful diversity across the fashion and entertainment industry by amplifying the work and talent of Black Beauty Professionals. BBR wants to see more diverse beauty talent in the society, specifically in the film, TV and editorial space.
