Alexx Daye Releases New Single “Long Time Dreams”

Alexx Daye is a St. Louis, Missouri native. She grew up in the Church, and by the age of 3, she started singing in her Grandfather’s Baptist Church. Heavily inspired and influenced by the Gospel and Soul music she was surrounded by, she began writing her own songs by age 8.

Daye then started venturing out and expanding her musical expertise; she eventually found herself sharing the stage with world-renowned artists like Patti Labelle, Christina Aguilera, Ne-Yo, and many more. Her vocals can also be heard on major advertisements for brands like Coca-Cola, McDonald's, Ford, and Roland Corporation. She continues to learn and inspire by teaching others at MI College of Contemporary Music who strive to follow in her footsteps. However, she never stops creating and building on her soulful talent, as she just paired with Strippedown Music Group for her initial release of “Long Time Dreams.”

Alexx Daye’s single “Long Time Dreams” was #4 Most Added This Week at Mediabase, #3 Most Added This Week at Billboard, and the #3 Most Added on Urban AC radio in its first week. The song was released on November 16 and features Alexx Daye - writer, vocals; Anthony Ceazan - writer, guitars, keyboards; Fred Dinkins - writer, drums, and percussions; and Lenny Jones - writer, engineer. The song tells the story of someone dreaming of a perfect life with their crush; they were too afraid to approach. Daye’s vocals are pure and breathy and mesh well with the soulful, melodic track created by Guitarist and Composer Anthony Ceazan and Grammy-nominated drummer Fred Dinkins.
