Stellar Gospel Music Awards 2020 PREMIERES ON BET NETWORKS

The 35th Annual Stellar Awards is set to premiere on BET NETWORKS on Sunday, August 23rd. The “Greatest Night in Gospel Music” went from a physical event to a virtual production due to COVID-19. But of course, the show must go on. The show will acknowledge all award winners from both the pre-show and the main event.

Presented by Entertainment One, the ceremony will be hosted by Kirk Franklin, Jonathan McReynolds, and Koryn Hawthorne. Including a night full of worship and praise, the show will also pay homage to first responders who helped aid people during the corona-virus outbreak. Despite having to have a virtual awards show, the Stellar Music Awards will be celebrating their 35th anniversary of recognizing African American worship musicians. Nominees for various awards include, Donald Lawrence Presents the Tri-City Singers, Kirk Franklin, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, JJ Hairston, John P. Kee, Kurt Carr & the Kurt Carr singers, William Murphy, Pastor Mike Jr. , Miranda Curtis, and Fresh Start Worship. Performers at the upcoming Stellar Awards include Marvin Sapp, Anthony Brown, CeCe Winans, James Fortune, Kierra Sheard, Tauren Wells, and more!

With everything going on in the world, tuning into BET on August 23rd to get your praise on while watching the Stellar Awards will be food for the soul. Following the anointing awards show, will be the Season 10 Finale of Sunday Best, where they crown the 10th Sunday Best winner. So either way, your night should be filled with Jesus on August 23rd!
