“Lecrae Battles the Decision to Release New Music”

Gospel rap-artist, Lecrae, went to Instagram last week to discuss his decision on whether or not to release music during the COVID-19 pandemic. Taking everything into consideration such as; people losing jobs, people not being able to afford childcare while schools are out of session, people being homeless, and more, Lecrae finally came up with a final decision to continue with the release of new music.

At first, he admitted that he felt like it would be self-loathing to follow through with the drop of new music while the world is in a frenzy. But after thinking long and hard, he realized that his new releases from his upcoming album, “Restoration”, could be the one thing that keeps his fans going. Lecrae stated that his newest album is a compilation of music about hope: the one thing we all need in this time of despair. On Friday, Lecrae released his newest single “Set Me Free” featuring YK Osiris. The track is the first single from his upcoming album that is set to release by the end of this month. Lecrae’s song, “Set Me Free” featuring YK Osiris is available on all streaming platforms.
