Dru Hill Releases New Single “What You Need!”

Legendary R&B group, Dru Hill, recently made a comeback with their newest single, “What You Need.” The single is one of many tracks off of their upcoming album, The Second Coming, executively produced by Troy Taylor. Just as expected, their latest single exudes the nostalgic R&B vibes that the group brought in the 90s. With a mixture of beautiful harmonies and passionate lyrics, it is evident that Dru Hill’s style of music works no matter the era.

“What You Need” happens to be the first single the group has released since the release of their 2010 debut album, “InDRUpendence Day.” Since then, original members, Jazz and Tao have departed the group. The new Dru Hill consists of founding members, Sisqo and Nokia, along with newcomers, Smokey and Black of Playa. Although the group has made changes, their soulful rhythmic tones have yet to change. Needless to say, if “What You Need” is just a glimpse of what the album contains, then Dru Hill fans better get ready. Their upcoming album has yet to have a release date, but it is rumored to release later on this year.
