If you don’t know about Unsung, you are truly missing out. Unsung is a docu-series which airs on TVOne is coming back for its 15th season on February 23rd. Unsung is TVOne’s longest running TV show and if you’ve watched it, you’ll know why. Unsung features artists that have been off the radar for some time. Adina Howard, KC and The Sunshine Band, CeCe Peniston, The Chi-Lites, Nate Dogg, and many many others have been featured on the show. The hour long show dives deep into their careers and personal lives, showcasing the ups and downs they faced, trials they endured that may have ended or halted their career, and a brief glimpse of where they are now. The series' first aired November 27, 2008 with Phylis Hymen as the first runner up. Since then, Unsung has shared the lives and careers of over 153 artists and bands, not including the spin-off show Unsung:Hollywood, which shared the stories of actors, actresses, and comedians in the African-American community. Actors featured on this show include Pam Grier, Jasmine Guy, Sheryl Lee Ralph, A Different World cast, and others. Unsung is scheduled to air on TVone on February 23 at 10PM ET/9PM C.
