Something Real Indeed
Summer Walker and Chris Breezy are ending the year with their new lovey-dovey single "Something Real". With Summer head over heels with the producer, London On Da Track, the song came just at the right time. “My last n*gga was a bitch n*gga” the first line of the song expresses Summer Walker’s sentiments towards her last man, granted we do not know if she is talking about London or a private relationship were are not privy to. Regardless of the fact, all divahs can relate to the vibes that the song is giving. Summer and Chris have given us bops all year individually but together they have made an absolute banger. "Something Real" is a song that all women relate to. The song emulates the desire for something serious. In 2020 we are no longer playing around, we all want something real, tangible, serious, a commitment. We are no longer Netflixing and chilling. We are going on dates and wining and dining all 2020 and the song is very clear on those expectations.
Very recently, Walker canceled the remaining tour dates on her First and Last Tour due to her struggles with social anxiety. “As you know, I have been very open about my struggle with social anxiety. I want to continue to be healthy and to make music for y’all, so I have decided to cut down some of the dates on the tour,” she shared on Instagram. “I hope you all can understand. I’m grateful for every single one of you and I hope that you understand that wellness/mental health is important.” The artist has also received criticism for refusing to hug her fans at meet and greets—a boundary she established for mental health reasons. Earlier this fall, Walker released her first studio album titled Over It, which proved to be the biggest debut for a woman in R&B since Beyoncé’s Lemonade. All while Chris Brown is expecting his second child, work work don’t stop! The single dropped late November and is certainly worth listening to! Remember you heard it hear first!
