Slick Woods Tells Instagram She Has Stage 3 Cancer

Slick Woods has grown in popularity in the past few years, due to her being Rihanna’s top model for her makeup and lingerie lines, Fenty Beauty and Savage x Fenty, respectively. On November 19th, Woods surprised social media with a picture of her and several other male artists (see picture below), having a good time, with the caption: “How I feel about chemotherapy, shout out to everyone that gotta go through it #atleastimalreadybald. At first, many instagram users were confused with the picture but as time passed, the comments went from questions to words of encouragement and love. The Shade Room, a popular media website with a large following on social media, had the opportunity to do an exclusive interview with Slick Woods, where she admitted that she is “fighting for her life”.

Slick told the public because she wanted to share her journey, not be treated like a victim. She has a young son, Saphir, who she shares with her former partner, Adonis Bosso, and has expressed that she is thankful that Saphir has a great father who will “protect, teach and love him unconditionally”. Stage 3 Melanoma cancer is quite rare, yet dangerous, form of skin cancer that is likely to spread to other parts of the body. Each year, more than 90,000 people are diagnosed with melanoma, and unfortunately there is a high mortality rate for people with this type of disease. Slick Woods has not mentioned how long she has had this disease, whether or not she is taking a break from her modeling career, and if she is going to update her followers on her health journey, but The Divah Filez is praying that she has a healthy and speedy recovery!
