WavesOnGianni Upcoming Debut EP “The Heartbreak Kid”
Roc Nation’s new artist, WavesOnGianni recently released the title of his six-track EP, The Heartbreak Kid. Each track is expected to contain heavy-hitting beats filled with 808s to compliment WavesOnGianni’s raw and energetic lyricism. Producers featured on the project include Dey Jan Beats, Ouh Boy, Young Kros Beats, Slayer Tracks, Eldrick Beats and Krookz. After his first hit-track, “Stop Calling” helped Roc Nation reach him, WavesOnGianni released two songs, “Houdini” and “Need a Mop” featuring Atlanta-native artist, Bally Baby.
“Houdini” was dropped in September, with the music video being premiered on Lyrical Lemonade. This is also the debut single for WavesOnGianni’s project, The Heartbreak Kid. “Houdini” attracted mass attention on social media, just as “Stop Calling” did and last week, WavesOnGianni released “Need a Mop.” The visual for “Need a Mop” was directed by A1 Visuals and was premiered on BET Jams as well as No Jumper, a popular music site. WavesOnGianni and Bally Baby showed off their acting skills in the music video as they portrayed two employees at a mechanic shop who were tired of being reprimanded by their boss and decided to throw a party. The music video depicts a refreshing, old school vibe of artists putting thought into the creativity of their visuals. When talking about the upcoming release of his EP, WavesOnGianni stated "The Heartbreak Kid is a very special project for me. Not only is this my debut EP, but I think each song shows who I am as a person and an artist. I’ve been working very hard this past year at creating my own unique sound with the producers on my EP and I’m ready to show everyone who WavesOnGianni is with this body of work.” The first two tracks on The Heartbreak Kid EP are available on all streaming platforms, so be sure to check them out and stream WavesOnGianni’s project when it releases this November.
