Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Billy?

Emmy winner, Billy Porter, has been cast in a new Sony film. Kay Cannon has written and added a spin to the story of Cinderella. Cannon, who wrote Pitch Perfect, will work with Billy Porter, who will play the fairy god mother? Or should we say fairy god father? Before you turn up your nose to the idea, let’s review Billy Porter’s resume.

In 2013, Porter was nominated and won an Emmy for his amazing acting in the Broadway play, Kinky Boots. He became the first openly gay African American actor to win such an honor. He recently wrote and directed a play that will debut in New York. Let’s also not forget about the Grammy he won for Kinky Boots along with roles in Jesus Christ Superstar and Dreamgirls. His film and television credits include: American Horror Story: Apocalypse, Pose, Law and Order: SVU, The Get Down, and Saturday Night Live. To top it off, he will star in a new movie, Like A Boss, with Tiffany Haddish.
