If you happened to catch the new Netflix series, Rhythm + Flow, you would know that the one and only Cardi B told contestant Steven Bonus this as he stood there dressed in a suit and tie. Rhythm + Flow is Netflix’s new musical competition starring judges Cardi B., T.I., and Chance the Rapper. The first musical show produced by Netflix releases three episodes weekly beginning on October 9th and ending on October 23rd. Auditions were held in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Atlanta. Snoop Dogg, Big Boi, Quavo, and Twista also appeared as guest judges. The winner will receive bragging rights and $250,000, but no recording contract.

The judges are extremely raw and honest with the contestants. Unlike most talent centered shows, profanity is used and there is no censorship. So far, the contestants have had to participate in the freestyle battle, a rap battle, and a cypher. Some of the contestants have forgotten their lines and the judges were quick to notice. If a contestant forgot their lines in the freestyle battle, the judges did not choose them. The most entertaining judge, of course, is Cardi B, with her quick one liners and raw honesty. Who will win the very first Rhythm + Flow competition? We will find out on October 23rd!
