From Homeless to Hollywood
October 5, 2019 was an memorable day for Mr, Tyler Perry. He's truly an inspiration, a LEGEND.. he is the GOAT, PERIODDDDDD! This is the FIRST ever black fully owned studio lot and bigger than Disney, Warner Brothers, Paramount, Fox, and Sony COMBINED with space left over! This mini town is 330 acres with every set you can think of. This land was once worked by slaves and turned into an army base and NOW it's owned and operated by a BLACK man.Let's not forget he created his own walk of fame for the actresses/actors who've played in his projects and all of your favorite celebrities was in attendance. Perry now controls the rights to ALL of his films and TV work. He's created a path of wealth and influence among the African American community. His surprise walk of fame left his attendees in AWE. He has stars cemented in the ground that'll last FOREVER on the grounds of Tyler Perry Studios. He also has 12 sound stages named after some of the greats in entertainment. The dedication sound stages went to Cicely Tyson, Oprah Winfrey, Will Smith, Diahann Carroll, Whoopi Goldberg, Sidney Poitier, John Singleton, Spike Lee, Halle Berry, Denzel Washington, Harry Belafonte, and Ruby Dee & Ossie Davis.
The studio will be open to the general public soon and Perry hopes to expand to a 3500 seat theatre, museum, and a place for displaced women, trafficked children, and LGBTQ youth. Some of your favs who attended includes Diddy, Beyonce and Jay-Z, Halle Berry, Ludachris, Tyrese, Taraji P. Henson, Will and Jada , Oprah, Monica, Colin Kaepernick, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, Ava DuVernay, Jill Scott, Tiffany Haddish, and more.
