Christian Ward, better known as his stage name Hitmaka, is an American actor, director, record producer, songwriter, rapper and singer. Ward had been previously signed to DMX's Bloodline Records as Iceberg but then signed to Epic Records. He was first introduced to the world on Love and Hip Hop a popular franchise reality tv show aired on Vh1. In Hitmaka’s world, the release of his latest single “Thot Box” is a personal milestone. The 4-minute song features some of hip-hop’s trendiest spokesmen – Meek Mill, 2 Chainz, YBN Nahmir, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, and Tyga – but Hitmaka has put himself in the forefront.

12 years ago, the moniker and brand behind Hitmaka didn’t exist. He changed his name ;Most knew the Chicago-born talent as rapper Yung Berg. His debut album, Look What You Made Me spawned popular singles such as “The Business,” “Sexy Lady” and “Sexy Can I” (the latter peaked No. 3 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart). But his success in front of the microphone was short-lived.
Over the past six years, he has diligently working to rebrand himself as a producer and songwriter. His enthusiastic “Hitmaka!” tag is heard on beats prepped for YFN Lucci, Teyana Taylor, Ty Dolla $ign, and more.
According to his team, Hitmaka’s catalog as a producer has earned over 28 million digital sales and 5 billion streams, stemming from credits with artists like French Montana (“No Stylist” featuring Drake), Chris Brown (“Party” featuring Usher and Gucci Mane), Big Sean (“Bounce Back”), and 2 Chainz (“Rule the World” featuring Ariana Grande).
Berg is now making music and doing his own label working with music and with many different artists.
