Mixed-ish

Mixed-ish is set to premiere on ABC September 24th. It’s a prequel spinoff of Black-ish. The storyline follows Bo as she leaves her home after being homeschooled and relocates to a regular schooling system. She gets introduced to reality when she’s constantly asked and teased about her race.

Arica Himmel will be starring as Bo. Tika Sumpter as Angie, Bo’s mother. Fans point out that Tika is a complete different complexion than Angie is in the series. Ethan Childress, Mykal Harris as Bo’s siblings and Christina Anthony as her aunt. Tracee Ellis Ross will be voicing over as adult Bo.

Mariah Carey has been casted to sing the theme song “In The Mix”. She’s also expressed an interest in wanting to guest star on the show.

Black-ish will be moving on to season 6, as well as Grown-ish with season 3.
