Empire’s Final Season

Empire’s Vivica Fox will now be starring in the series as a regular instead of a recurring character. Fox’s character Candace first appeared in season 2 and every season after.

Her role on the show has grown since being introduced as Cookie’s sister. Last season the show focused on her and her son for a couple of episodes. Her character’s situation brought awareness to mental health and abuse.

Another character that’s becoming apart of the show as a recurring character is Lethal Weapon’s Keesha Sharp.

Sharp will be playing as Dr. Wick, a doctor who’s insightful but no nonsense.

Unfortunately, Jussie Smollet will not be returning to Empire for his role as Jamal.

Season 6 of Empire is set to premiere on September 24th, 2019.
