Joe Budden VS. Nicki Minaj on Queen Radio
Episode 15 of Nicki Minaj’s podcast, “Queen Radio” was a spicy one, featuring rapper Joe Budden. Despite Minaj and Budden’s rough history, The Joe Budden Podcast hosts were invited to the show (Joe Budden, Rory, and Mal). Prior to the podcast, Budden stated that he did not believe that “Hot Girl Summer”, a song featuring Megan The Stallion, Nicki Minaj, and Ty Dolla $ign, had an organic beginning. He said that the Instagram Live video that Minaj did with Meg was intentionally recorded in order to attract positive PR and excitement about the possibility of a collaboration between the two female rappers. Minaj insists that “Hot Girl Summer” naturally came along after the Live video, but that was not the subject that angered her the most.
Nicki brought up the fact that Budden had accused her of using drugs and told him not to disrespect her like that. Budden did not try to recant his statement, instead, he said that he would never try to disrespect her, and kept asking her if she had ever tried drugs. The conversation got so intense that at one point, Nicki cut off Joe Budden’s mic out of pure frustration. Two weeks later, Nicki made a guest appearance on The Joe Budden Podcast but surprisingly, there was not a single argument throughout the entire episode.
