Don't Let Go
In the African American community, we all have our favorite aunt and uncle. Director Jacob Aaron Estes brought the bond of niece and uncle to the big screen in the movie Don’t Let Go with a shocking twist. David Oyelowo plays a character named Jack Radcliff, or Uncle Jack. After he gets a mysterious from his niece Ashley, who is played by Storm Reid, he rushes to find the girl dead along with her parents. The twist comes when Uncle Jack receives a call from his deceased niece, who claims to be alivebutliving in the past. The two family members use the time difference as an advantage in order to prevent the deaths of occurring.
The film is right on track with the previous films produced by Blumhouse Tilt. This same company released the movies Get Out, Split, and The BlacKkKlansman.
“We have been so passionate about Don’t Let Go… and through Blumhouse Tilt we are able to tailor our marketing strategy to fit a picture precisely,” spoke Jason Blum, the founder and CEO of Blumhouse Productions.
Don’t Let Go is scheduled to be released on August 30th.
