Teyana Taylor’s New Music Video “How You Want It?”
The Princess of Harlem and a jack of all trades, Teyana “Spike Tee” Taylor recently dropped a music video for her single “How You Want It?” featuring King Combs. Both of the artists are known for their nostalgic vibes with their music, so of course they showed up and showed out by sampling a Mase and Total song “What You Want” from the late 90s. As if Teyana and King Combs’ voices didn’t ride the beat perfectly, the visual for the song brought it all together.
Directed by Teyana Taylor herself, the visual contains a peep show of different versions of Teyana Taylor seducing a more masculine version of herself for most of the video. It also includes a scene where she pays homage to Mase’s “What You Want” music video by using his “Harlem World” background. Teyana and Christian “King Combs” share a sibling-like bond in their nostalgic scenery. The video even includes a rooftop shot where both Taylor and Combs are playfully dancing as their background dancers move in a synchronized motion. Overall, the video screams 90s Hip Hop & RnB and you can’t help but to love it. Teyana Taylor did an amazing job of making the video match the vibe of this funky old school beat. The visual definitely would have been #1 on 106 n Park, had it been released back in the day. “How You Want It” definitely gets a 10/10 rating based on creativity, sex appeal, and quality as a whole.
