Mary J Blige To Take Lead Role In Power Spin-off

Unfortunately, the original Power season will be coming to an end after it’s upcoming 6th season in August. 50 cent confirmed the season ending on May 9th on Instagram.

“August 25 starts season 6, the final season of Power”

50 also joked on Instagram that Season 6 wouldn’t be the last season of Power stating that he changed his mind, Power is too good.

Well, whether Power will or will not end after it’s six season is unknown but there is a Power spinoff in the works.

The Spinoff will be called Power Book ll: Ghost. None other than singer Mary J. Blige is set to be the lead. The spin off will focus on telling some of the other character’s stories. It will “expand the world of Power”.

Mary J Blige would be the most obvious choice in a Power casting and I can’t unsee it. The actress/singer says that she can relate to many of the characters in the series as she has dated many Ghosts.

The queen describes the experience as being one of the best things that has happened to her so far this year.

“I’m a fan for life, and I’m grateful to be a part of it”.

A character casting that we didn’t even know we needed.
