The 2019 Emmy Nominations: WHO’S NOMINATED??
It’s about that time again; time to bring out all of our fancy gowns and suits just to sit in front of the TV (wait...maybe I’m the only one that does this…). Regardless if you do or not, I’m talking about the Emmys people! The time to see if you favorite TV series, or even your favorite actress/actor walks away with that golden trophy.
The 2019 Emmy Award Show will be shown LIVE on Saturday, September 22nd. This year’s nominations were released on Tuesday, July 16th and one can say there were quite a bit of eye openers. The premium cable network, HBO had a wobbin’ 137 nominations, the most of any platform this year. The hit show Game of Thrones had the most nominations this year for a series with 32 nominations. Actor Astante Black, who played “Kevin” in the popular Netflix series When They See Us is the youngest nominee for an Emmy Award; the 17-year-old is nominated for “Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie Category”. Lastly, there is currently there are no whereabouts as to who is hosting the Emmys ; rumor has it that there may not even be a host. For those who may not remember, the Emmy Awards used to be aired without a host, but that was back in 2003, before it was picked up by FOX. There’s still a month and some change to go until it’s aired, maybe FOX hasn’t made the announcement yet because they have something wildly in store for us!
