On May 6, 2019 the White House held the Rose Garden Ceremony. During this year’s ceremony american professional golfer Tiger Woods was honored for his historic golf career where he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Trump. The medal awarded to Woods is the highest civilian honor. During Woods journey he faced a mix of victories and defeats. Through his trials and tribulations his last Master victory made his comeback even stronger. Woods never showed his weaknesses and has always been humble and showed how he could bounce back.
Tiger collected his fifth Masters in the 2019 Tournament on April 14. That win also made it his 15th major championship. Woods drive and determination is what made others respect his career and dedication to golf. After battling money problems, martial issues and injuries this rebound was one that was well deserved. It’s a privilege to know that an black man is one of the most notable athletes in history. Tiger Woods is the fourth US golfer in history to receive the Medal of Freedom honor.
