J. Cole’s “Middle Child”, Featuring Heads of “Your Favorite Rappers”

J. Cole has finally dropped the official music video for his new single “Middle Child.” It’s directed by Mez featuring the mounted heads of “your favorite rappers.”

The visuals inspired by the track has J. Cole in a grocery store riding around with a shopping cart. The DreamVille rapper smacked all the hate out of voices as he parlayed calmly in a mancave with the heads of rappers mounted above the fireplace. The video also had a significant clip of a white woman’s hair being laid, followed by her browsing the grocery store and picking up a pack of preinstalled “baby hairs”, touching on cultural appropriation and the idea that certain individuals hate black people but love our culture. So not only is Cole smacking hate out of people’s voices with the visuals for Middle Child, but he’s snatching edges as well. If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out below!
