Lexi's Worhsip!

Lexi Allen is an Alternative Gospel singer, actress, tv host, and YouTuber who is releasing her first album in six years, Just Listen.

Lexi has a few accomplishments under her belt; she sings background vocals for many artists such as Gerald LeVert and Vanessa Bell Armstrong to name a few. With the help of her experiences, she debuted her first album Call Her Lexi in 1990. Her late husband Michael Allen helped Lexi come back from a decade hiatus from music that lead her to release albums such as, Lexi & That’s the Way It Is (2002), A Praise in the Valley (2004), and What Heaven Hears (2005). A Praise in the Valley earned her a Stellar Gospel Music Award nomination. Though Michael was the one who helped her create a sound for herself, their marriage ended early due to him dying from cancer. But she kept her faith and was blessed with other opportunities. In 2012, her album Phenomenal received a good response by hitting the Billboard Hot Gospel Songs chart with the singles “Burn It All Down” and “Abide” peaking at #20 and #14.

Fast forward six years, after signing with Motown Gospel Records, Lexi is blessing us with her new album Just Listen. Lexi has already created a buzz with her first single “In the Room.” “In the Room” gives you an alternative twist on gospel music. It has an R&B tone but with a worship message. She also dropped a visual on YouTube for the single back on May 12th. The eight-track LP will be available on all music platforms on June 8, 2018. Listen to "In the Room" below!
