Queen Latifah & Toni Braxton Prep 2 New Documentaries for Lifetime

You may know her for her hit roles in movies like Beauty Shop, Girl’s Trip, and her current FOX show, STAR (just to name a few), but our girl Queen Latifah was known for rocking the mic long before she hit the big screen. Well looks like the former MC is adding yet another title to her professional resume, Executive Producer. Queen has reportedly teamed up with the R&B legend, Toni Braxton, to bring a brand new documentary series to Lifetime. The documentary itself plans to tackle the questions many of us are wondering, “Where did the woman of Hip Hop go?". It also plans to tell the history of female rappers and their challenges within the male dominated rap game;All while predicting what the future will be like for future MCs. Aside from that, Queen will also Executive Produce and star in her own one hour special, U.N.I.T.Y., which will follow her as she remakes her past hit single! Lifetime plans to debut these projects in November & December of this year. We can’t wait to see how these projects will turn out! As, we learn more, we’ll be sure to let you know.
