Aaron and Nick Carter at odds after DUI Arrest
Teen star Aaron Carter was arrested Saturday under DUI charges in Habersham County, Georgia. He and his girlfriend were charged with driving under the influence, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and possession of drug-related objects. The recent arrest brought light to the issues Carter has with his older brother Nick, former Backstreet Boy. This is sad considering everything the Carter family has been through over the past two decades.
Nick was the youngest member of the Backstreet Boys and Aaron broke out opening for the Backstreet Boys. Nick, hearing of his brother’s arrest, took to Twitter to reach out to his younger brother. He wrote, “To my brother: I love u no matter what & if u feel the need to reach for help, I am here and willing to help you get better. Family isn’t always easy, we’re all here for you”. Which then lead Aaron to respond, “Why wouldn’t he call me directly”.
Apparently, according to eonline, Lauren, Nick’s wife, has Aaron’s number but Nick himself does not. Now, why wouldn’t you have you younger brother’s phone number? Aaron then said, “If my own blood truly cared about my well-being, why wouldn’t he call me directly and have a conversation instead of making this about through a very public forum? That’s not cool at all to use me for his PR and kick me while I am down. I love my family despite it through thick and thin,” he released in a Twitter statement.
After the arrest, Aaron says he is prepared to take a lie detector test in regards to the charges placed against him. Aaron stated in an interview with UsWeekly, that he “doesn’t drink and doesn’t have a drug addiction. Hire a polygraph person, strap me up”. Aaron and his girlfriend, Madison, are also looking into hiring RHOA’s own Phaedra Parks as their lawyer for the case. Aaron claims that it was the alignment on his car causing him to swerve and that’s why he was pulled over. Let’s hope that in wake of these events these two brothers can bury the hatchet. Also, hoping everything works out for Aaron and his legal situation.
