2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards Nominations (Full List Inside)
MTV is making some major changes to its popular movie awards. This year marks the first year of the switch from being solely known as the MTV Movie Awards to the MTV Movie & TV Awards. The network will now be honoring both films as well as television series and stars. Another major change is the elimination of gender specific categories. Now both female nominees, male nominees, and anyone in between will be pitted together in the race for the Moon Man. Categories such as Best Shirtles Scene are being replaced with new categories such as Best Fight Against the System and Best American Story. The big show is set to air at 8 p.m. ET/PT on May 7, 2017. This year's awards wll be hosted by Pitch Perfect star, Adam Devine. The full list of nominees are:
