Queen Latifah Teams Up With FOX For New Bible Based Series!

Award winning Actress/Rapper Queen Latifah is teaming up with FOX for a bible-themed series titled “The Scroll” through her Flavor Unit Entertainment production company. Latifah will also be teaming up with faith-based production company Relevé Entertainment who originally came up with the idea to make a series of reimagined bible stories come to life.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, "The Scroll will reimagine some of the Bible's most popular stories in the present day, through a group of friends and colleagues who are modern-day versions of some of the Bible's most notable characters”. Latifah and her business partner over at Flavor Unit, Shakim Compere, will team up with Relevé Entertainment’s CEO Holly Carter to executive produce along with Michael Elliot.

The rundown of the show would bring well-known Bible stories to the present day and have every day people live out the stories of the Holy Bible. If this series is picked up, it is said to be historic. The Hollywood Reporter stated, “If it is picked up to series, The Scroll would become the first-ever contemporary drama series based on the best-selling book of all time".
