Regina King Lands Production Deal With ABC

Regina King has inked a two-year deal with ABC Studios. There is no word on what projects she might have cooking up, but King joins a select group of black content creators who also have production deals with the studio, such as: Shonda Rhimes, Kerry Washington, Viola Davis, and Larry Wilmore.

King is no stranger to television production as her credits include: episodes of ABC’s “Scandal” and “The Catch,” TNT’s “Animal Kingdom, OWN’s “Greenleaf” and Fox’s “Pitch”. King has also been recognized for her on screen work as well, as she was the recipient ofw two Emmy awards for”Best Supporting Actress In A Series” for her roles in the first two seasons of ABC’s hit drama series “American Crime.” Additionally, she has recently signed on to star in the upcoming Netflix crime drama series, “Seven Seconds”, so be prepared to see big things this year from Ms. King.
