Azealia Banks v. Russell Crowe

Yep you read that right, rapper turned internet troll Azealia Banks and veteran actor Russell Crowe are currently at odds. Now I know what you’re thinking: why/how are these two names even in the same sentence? Well we’ve got the full story. Earlier this month the Australian actor threw a private get together with 10 guests in Suite 117 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Among his guests were rapper RZA and his plus one, hopeful label signee Azealia Banks.

According to TMZ, the night took a turn when Banks began laughing at Crowe’s music choices and calling him, and a few other guests, “boring white men.” A female guest was said to have tried to calm her down but, witnesses claim that Azealia became “erratic” and began to threaten both Crowe and guests by saying, ““You would love it if I broke my glass, stabbed you guys in the throat, and blood would squirt everywhere like some real Tarantino s**t.” It was then reported that Crowe remained calm…well until Banks decided to grab a glass and cock it back. The Oscar winner then allegedly wrapped Banks in a “tight Bear hug” and carried her out of his room. Security guards were then alerted and Banks was removed from the hotel grounds completely. Now according to Banks, this is a huge deferment to what she says happened. She says that Crowe assaulted her, spit on her, and called her the n-word. These accusations were posted and deleted on Banks’ Facebook and instead replaced by a simple update reading, “Last night was one of the hardest nights of sleep I had in a long time. I have receipts. Stay tuned.” We’d love to see these receipts because we’ve yet to see any validity on her part.

Azealia did in fact file a police report but the police are currently at a standstill due to no security footage being found of Banks getting booted from the Hotel room and to make matters worse, RZA has publicly taken a side that is not hers after she went on a tirade against him for not defending her. RZA says she is “full of it” and that she was “squarely in the wrong”. Needless to say Azealia won’t be getting signed to the label nor will she be invited to another Russell Crowe party.
