Robert Kardashian’s Scary Wake Up Call
LOS ANGELES – Robert Kardashian Jr. was reportedly rushed to a Los Angeles hospital after not feeling too well over the holiday weekend. The 28 year-old has had problems with his weight for the last 2 years now, and after performing various tests the doctors determined that Rob is indeed diabetic. Last year on Keeping Up with The Kardashians Kris Jenner states how Rob has “gained 100 pounds in a span of a year.”
“I literally cry myself to sleep every night worried about Rob.” Says mother, Kris Jenner on KUWTK last year. The whole Kardashian-Jenner clan wants to see their brother get better, Khloé suggesting rehab, Kim suggesting tough love and even Kourtney suggesting therapy. But Rob wants nothing to do with therapy or rehabilitation, but after what happened over the holidays he might be changing his mind and finally making a change for the better.
A close source to the family says it was a “wake up call” for the reality star, saying that now he knows he must change his diet and exercise. His blood sugar levels were very high and the doctors told him, you have to get healthy or his health will continue to plummet.
Now, Rob is at home and Kris Jenner cut her St. Bart’s trip short to be home with her son. Luckily, Rob has the support of the Kardashian-Jenner clan like he’s always had. Recently, Kris told E! News’ Maria Menounos, “He’s just working on himself a little bit and trying to be a better Rob, so I just have to trust that he’s good… We’re all here to support him for whatever he needs.”
Big sister Khloé has always been there for Rob, sometimes even feeling like his downfall was partly her fault. Telling People magazine, “He’s a charming, charismatic, everything. That’s what’s so infuriating. I’ve been really trying, but I have my moments where I do snap. I’ve offered to get a chef, I’m like, ‘What’s your excuse?’ But it’s not just that. I can’t win life for Rob. I have to wait until he’s ready to do it for himself.”
With the new year approaching, it’s the perfect time to make a lifestyle change for the better. Hopefully this scary wake up call really does push Rob into the right direction, praying for your health and well being in 2016!
