Chrisette Michele Engaged: Love Conquers All

​Grammy award winner Chrisette Michele and producer Ellison Douglas officially announced their engagement via Instagram yesterday. Sources say that after asking Chrisette’s father for his daughters hand in marriage, Douglas proposed to Chrisette on the roof top of New York City studio “Jungle City”. This all comes as a shock to many however, seeing as the pair sued each other for millions of dollars only a couple years back. In 2007, Chrisette filed a lawsuit against her former management team Four Kings, Douglas’ production company, for embezzlement. The case was later dropped. One year later, Ellison filed a $20 million dollar law suit against Chrisette Michele for damaging his reputation and money lost, which was also later dropped. Michele has since then started her own label, Rich Hipster under which she has signed herself onto. I guess it's true what they say, you shouldn't mix business with pleasure.
